With the ever-changing landscape due to the ongoing pandemic, we have received many questions regarding our event. Let us start by saying that the safety of our competitors, spectators, attendees, staff, and all involved with our event is our number 1 priority. As such, we are following all guidelines put in place by the State of Florida, as our event is held in Orlando, Florida. Many have been wondering if we will be following Disney’s mandate of mandatory masks indoors, for both vaccinated and unvaccinated. Our event is held at the Walt Disney World Dolphin Resort, which despite its name, is not owned or operated by Disney, but instead is a Marriott property. As a Marriott property, the hotel has informed us that they will not be enforcing any mask mandates in their hotel. Therefore MASKS ARE NOT REQUIRED in the ballroom, and proof of vaccine status will not be required.
With this in mind, we want to assure you that American Ballroom Company has every intention to run our 50th-anniversary extravaganza! We are receiving a record number of entries, so we ask for your patience during this busy period. It may take up to 5 days to receive your confirmation. But as stated before, running a safe competition is our top priority, so if state guidelines change, there will be an update posted here.
We are very excited to be celebrating our 50th anniversary with you and look forward to seeing you in September.
