All-American One Dance Competitions

In the All-American Dance Competitions, the top three (3) Students in each category are awarded the All-American Gold, Silver & Bronze Medallions.

All Championship Divisions

Finalists are recognized in order of merit and awarded commemorative Finalist Parchments, acknowledging their advancement to the final round of the championships. The top three (3) ranking couples are awarded the official United States Dance Sport Championship Medallions.

  • 3rd Place – Bronze Medallions

The 1st place winners become the official United States Dance Champions in their respective divisions.

  • TOP TEACHER MUST HAVE ALL ENTRIES PAID IN FULL BEFORE THE COMPETITION BEGINS.
  • PRIZE WINNERS MUST BE PRESENT AT THE TOP TEACHER AWARDS PRESENTATION ON SATURDAY NIGHT.***
  • To be awarded cash prizes by check for Top Teacher winnings, winners must be in attendance and in the ballroom on Saturday night when Top Teacher awards are presented. Teachers that are not present at the Top Teacher Awards Presentation will not qualify for cash/check awards.

  • Proficiency heats will receive 1 point.
  • If a placement is in an uncontested division, the points remain the same.
  • Student/student pairs contribute to Top Teacher point totals.
  • Pre-Teens, Juniors & Youth: If couples or pro/am pay a reduced fee, they will receive 1/2 points.
  • Entries added at the event do not count toward point toals.

Top Awards

Top Studio Awards: Trophies will be awarded to the Top Studios in the following categories: (points are calculated from all entries and placements)

  • Small Studio – from 1-3 competing students
  • Medium Studio – from 4 or more competing students
  • Large Studio – 7 or more competing students

Top Pro/Am Awards: (points are calculated from all entries and placements in the relevant styles and levels) Trophies will be presented to the Top Male and Top Female Students in each of the Bronze, Silver and Gold Levels for both American and International Style.

The 7th Annual Jane Chiang Scholarship for Top Pro/Am Overall Students

The Largest Top Pro/Am Top Student Cash Prize in the world – $20,000!

In honor of Jane Chiang, A cash prize will be awarded to the top three Pro/Am Overall Students, contributed by her loving husband, Martin Chiang. To qualify, a minimum of 200 pro/am entries are require to qualify for these cash prizes. Points are calculated from all pro/am entries and placements in all styles and all levels. Student/Student entries do NOT count.
